American Enterprises came about over 50 years ago and was founded by J.T. Sailors. After serving in the United States Navy during WWII, J.T. returned home to begin working as a brakeman and conductor for the Pennsylvania Railroad.
While he worked for the railroad, J.T. began buying commercial cleaning equipment in Chicago to distribute near his hometown of Walton, IN. After being injured in an accident on the railroad, J.T. began working as a salesman for the American Cleaning Equipment Corporation until starting American Enterprises a few years later. J.T.'s son, Mike, started a service division of American Enterprises in 1981 that contracted cleaning services to local businesses and residents. J.T. continued to run the sales side of the business until 1993 when Mike purchased the inventory and business off his father. J.T. continued to work as a consultant until his death in 2012. In 2013, after graduating from Purdue University and working for 4 years as a Project Manager and Logistics Manager for 2 different companies, Mike's son, Devin, decided to begin working with his father to expand the family business. For over 50 years, American Enterprises has provided the best quality cleaning equipment, chemicals, supplies and service in the area. With 3 generations of family experience, we take great pride in providing our customers with the best products, backed by unmatched service. |
